Easy and delicious Mexican Street Tacos, by Letty's home cooking
Street Tacos can be made right at home!! Using simple ingredients, corn tortillas, sliced steak, onions, cabbage, pineapple, lime juice, fresh cilantro, jalapeno, and queso fresco to topped up.

Marinade the steak:
1 1/2 pound of sliced steak
1 lime juice
3 sp of achiote sauce ( it can be found at groceries stores)
1 sp salt
1/2 sp cummin
1/2 sp black pepper
1 sp olive oil
In a bowl place the meat and add all the ingredients to be mix very well and cover with plastic wrap or inside ziploc bag for 10 minutes before cooking.
Other ingredients:
8 streets corn tortillas (can be used regular corn tortillas)
1/2 yellow onion sliced
1 diced jalapeno without seeds
1 cup diced fresh pineapple
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 cup red/purple sliced fine cabbage
1/2 cup queso fresco
2 sp cooking oil
2 lime cut into wedges
Have all the toppings separated and ready to use on the tacos. After the steak is marinade, then use a large skillet on cooktop at medium high heat and add the cooking oil and marinated steak to be cooked. Stirring often until steak is browned. Add the onions and jalapeno to cook for 5-10 minutes.
Heat the iron cast "comal" or skillet to heat with cooking oil the street tortillas. Heat the tortillas on both sides this will keep it from breaking. Also you may want to do double tortillas if desired. Tacos are best served immediately after cooking for best results and flavor.
Add the tortillas into a plate to start assembling the toppings. Steak, red cabbage, pineapple, cilantro leaves, queso fresco and squeeze of lime or salsa.
Enjoy!!
